At the installation site, you should prepare a sewer connection, an electrical socket, and a 4×0.5 shielded cable; over a length of 10 m, 4×0.75 (screened) is recommended – not obligatory for Wi-Fi heat recovery units.

What diameter should the intake and exhaust be?

The intake and exhaust pipes should be at least 1-2 diameter larger than the pipe leaving the recuperator. This means that in the case of a recuperator pipe with a diameter of 200, the intake and exhaust pipes should be of diameter 250 or 315.

What thickness of Styrofoam should be planned on the ceiling or the amount of space in the suspended ceiling?

The recommended amount of space on the ceiling for the installation is 10 cm for pipes diameter 75, if the installation is in a suspended ceiling, min. the free space is 10 cm for the GK frame to fit pipes diameter 75.

What diameter should the holes in the ceiling be for fi125 diffusers?

If we are about to pour the ceiling, in order to avoid drilling later, sewage pipes with an external diameter of fi160 can be used at an early stage in the positions of the diffusers.

What diameter should the holes for diffusers and distribution box stubs be made in the existing ceiling?

If we already have a ceiling, drill holes with a hole saw with a diameter of 132 mm for diffusers fi 125. In the case of connection stubs fi200, the hole in the ceiling should preferably be fi250mm. For connectors fi160mm, it is best to make a hole with a diameter fi200.

What is the difference between a muff plenum box and a nipple plenum box?

The boxes differ in the diameter of the connection pipe. The socket box is designed for direct connection of the anemostat, it is available in diameters 100, 125, 160, while the nipple box is intended for an extension that overlaps the nipple and is available in diameters 98, 123, 158

The floorboard studs have punctured the ventilation ducts - what to do in such a case?

If the damage is significant, it is best to cut out the damaged piece and insert new, undamaged sections using connectors dedicated to ventilation ducts. Most often, however, the damage is minor and when the loops are laid out, it is difficult to reach the cables in a convenient way – you need to pull out the pins, when you pull them out, the damaged material will partially return to its initial position and the resulting hole can be secured with thick polymer glue and ASTAT mounting tape. Be careful not to let glue or other sealant get inside the duct and restrict the air flow.

What size holes should I prepare in the ceiling?

The size of the opening in the ceiling depends on the diameter of the plenum and distribution box stub. The prepared project selects and describes the diameters of the connectors that should be used. It is safe to make a hole 1-2 cm larger than the pipe diameter.

Recommended soundproofing of the air handling unit?

To make the installation quiet – we recommend silencing the recuperator by installing a Pe-flex premium i or SC flexible duct with a length of min. 2-3 meters

Recommended distance of diffusers from walls/windows?

We recommend installing diffusers 0.6-1 meter from walls/windows.

What length should diameter 75 pipes be?

min. the length of the fi 75 pipe is 4 meters, the maximum length is 12 meters – The most important thing is that there are not too short sections for rooms where we have a low demand for air – e.g. for a wardrobe, pantry (the sections should be artificially extended to increase resistance), and as If we have e.g. 14-16 meters to the anemostat and this is a strategic point in the room, we need to add e.g. 1 pipe to overcome the resistances that occur in the installation.
